AMP is a charitable organisation which provides training opportunities for the unemployed musician to obtain the skills and knowledge required to find work in the music industry and / or access further education.
As such the project is specifically aimed to meet the needs of long term unemployed people who have a knowledge, interest and ability in music. Our training programme is specifically designed to build confidences and empower individuals to reach their full personal potential through the medium of music.
As we operate through the national Community Employment framework as a special training programme, the project is partially funded through FÁS along with our own patronage scheme CHAMP's.
The Access Music Project is based at the St. Patrick’s Bandroom, Frenchville Lane, Galway (by the train station). goto website...
Initially developed by the Galway City Partnership as a response to a perceived need, AMP has become an integral part of Galway's music scene. Operating now for nearly ten years.
