Access Music Education Galways own Access Music Project announces three new accredited music courses in Galway city that are open to all. The Modules offered are in Music Theory, Vocal Skills, and Rhythm & Percussion. Available from October 1st 2007 with accreditation in May/June 2008. Fees are payable in two instalments and grants may be available. Course Details: This module is designed to give the learner an appreciation and knowledge of music notation and vocabulary. It caters for the needs of the complete beginner to the highly advanced. The Music Theory Module runs over 35 weeks incorporating two exam sessions. The total cost (inc. exam fees) is €950 and the module is accredited by The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music This module is designed to give the learner an appreciation and understanding of vocal music and performance in both theory and practice. It covers breathing, tone production, projection and many other skills
fundamental
to singing. The module is accommodating to both accomplished and aspiring singers and focuses on the elements of both solo singing and harmony for backing vocals. It runs over 25 weeks, costs €750 and is FETAC Level 5 accredited. This module has been designed to the highest standards and endeavors to give the learner an appreciation and understanding of rhythm & percussion, both in theory and practice. Rhythm & percussion are elementary to any study of music and as such this module caters for those who wish to broaden both their musical appreciation and skills. It runs over 25 weeks, costs €750 and is FETAC Level 5 accredited. |
